The Salomon XA Pro 3D Goretex are the trekking and fast hiking shoes that you must choose if you are looking for durability, grip and waterproof protection in any weather situation that you find. They are designed to fight wet areas, with mud or even snow, where their lugs give you the support and stability that you need.
The French brand chose Contagrip Ma sole, whose material is the most durable of this range, allows you to walk on all type of terrain where its transverse and perimeter lugs, even on the sides, offer you very much traction, adherence and safety that you do not measure when facing a new surface.
Another of the great qualities of this trail running shoe is its advanced 3D chassis in the midsole to increase the stability of the foot in more complex and rocky terrain, and ideal for slopes or downs. Salomon selected EVA injected and molded in the midsole for moderate cushioning.
But what more stands out in this mountain shoe is its Goretex membrane that prevents the entry of the water and whit which you can step on any puddle without getting wet. The protective toecap and the Sensifit and Quicklace systems are another seal that Salomon chose in this shoe to provide adjustment and absolute protection.

Love this shoe! I clocked well over 500 km in the mountains on my old ones before I had to make new ones. And then only because the sole underneath was so worn that they rub when I walk. Still dry on the legs after 500 km WITHOUT having post-impregnated them! Looking forward to the new 500 in new Salomon shoes! And the color is so fresh! The fit is perfect. Has hawk instep. Not so broad in the foot, but there is plenty of room for those who have it. Recommended!
