Congratulations to Tradeinn, they were quick and effective. The watch arrived in excellent condition and seems to offer everything I expected, taking into account all the reviews I saw, despite having only been using it for a few hours. I have tested the watch for 2 weeks, 3 times in swimming and it works great meters, strokes, HR, I have gone out 1 time mtb in the mountains and all the metrics come out well, and 3 times for running and everything works correctly, the vibration to go early morning to work is hard, I need to try the maps to go hiking, I think it has everything I can use in sports and in everyday life, highly recommended

So far so good after a two weeks of trainings. Not so accurate wrist heart rate as I expected, but used to do training with a chest strap. Beside of that GPS much much better than in my old Fenix, and nice daily statistics about recovery.

The Garmin Forerunner 955 is a premium class multisport watch. There are many comparison tests on YouTube with other Garmin products and other multisport watches. After 7 years I had to retire the old predecessor. After a few weeks of use, I can say that Garmin has made a lot of progress compared to my old smartwatch. Without forgetting that the 955 cost 40% more than its predecessor, the build quality and details are excellent. I can't say much about the software; at the moment I haven't had much time or opportunity to fully immerse myself in it. It took me a long time to decide between this and Fenix 7/Epix Gen 2. The verdict: this is a better watch for me.
Arguments in favor of Forerunner 955:
- (This is the main factor for me). The *best* screen in terms of contrast and no glare. Forerunner employs Gorilla Glass 3 DX, while Epix and Fenix employ "just" Gorilla Glass (or Sapphire glass on higher priced models). "DX" is super important here, because it results in much less glare, basically an ideal matte screen without compromising the picture quality: it´s similar to e-ink like screen experience. Both Fenix/Epix suffer from the glare/reflections. Yes, I know, many people don´t care that much about it, but for me as a person with eyesight problems, those reflections/lack of contrast in certain scenarios are really annoying.
- Good battery life (slightly less than on Fenix 7)
- "Smarter" GPS
- 2x memory (32GB vs 16GB)
- No need for backlight and hence, hand gesture, in most scenarios (especially when taking a glance at the watch just to figure out the time). It´s there, most of the time visible even under angle, because of the high contrast of the screen and lack of glare.- It´s light, slick and less clunky
- It´s the cheapest of the three but provides mostly the same feature set as the two others.
The only cons of Forerunner compared to Epix/Fenix:
- Screen protection is questionable unless you´re fine with reflections: adding a protective glass introduces glare. Adding a protective glass on Epix does not add more glare than is already there.
- Fenix/Epix have different firmware than on Forerunner. Yes, most of the differences are just "cosmetic", however some things in the Forerunner firmware are implemented differently/less optimized than on Fenix/Epix. Some things are missing, at least at the moment (e.g. hotkeys for Notifications/Weather cannot be assigned, compared to Fenix/Epix.)
- ATM 5 vs ATM 10 water resistance
- Silver buttons don´t look good on the black body.
Yeah, it´s plastic, but I am not sure that it´s less durable than the steel bezel on Fenix/Epix. It also makes it feel good tactically, when putting a cold watch on hand and etc.

It seems expensive but when you have it it seems cheap. I've had it for almost a year and the battery lasts the same. It takes about an hour to charge. Neither the screen nor the rubber has broken at any time. Of course, I recommend putting tempered glass on it because it has sometimes fallen. It has many sports. The wrist pulse is measured very approximately, but it is true that it is better with a tape on the chest. It is impossible for you to ride a bike and have your pulse measured perfectly with the rattling noise, it is understandable. You can organize the screens however you want, it is 100% customizable.

I've been wearing the watch for 3 months now and I can give a contrasting opinion. The functions are very complete, but it is true that if you are not a high-performance athlete you do not get the most out of it. Of course, the precision of the GPS is spectacular and this aspect is essential for the "normal" user. I follow and mark routes that I later publish with maximum accuracy. The Solar function is nonsense that makes €100 more expensive. It's not worth it at all. Aesthetics is something very personal and subjective, I like discreet watches that don't look like Terminator and this is a perfect watch (similar to the Suunto that I love in that sense). In short, RECOMMENDED.

I think it is the sports watch with the best quality/price ratio, it has everything, it does everything. Possible drawbacks depending on whom (not me): 1) the transflective screen, which obviously does not have the brightness of AMOLEDs, and 2) it is not a super-protected watch for hard activities in the mountains.
