Believe it or not, the Timp just got even better! This 1.5 version features softer cushioning, improved heel fit, more flexible midsole and a directional-mesh upper for a sleeker ride. The new mesh flexes directionally and will float over rocks and roots with ease, and with the addition of a 4-Point GaiterTrapô you can confidently run through sand, dirt and debris. Last but certainly not least, the DuraTreadô outsole rubber has been improved and made stickier for better traction and grip.

The shoes arrived very quickly and without problems (as usual). Impressions after the first run were very positive, despite the greatest cushioning I had so far, I did not feel very much lack of ground feeling. They are more massive, but I hope that thanks to that they will last longer. I recommend the store

So nice for me. But probably a little large. I still wear them just not for long distances. The string around the waist is a little fiddly. I'm 178cm and 71kg, should have gone for a small not medium. The pockets are great.

My nails turned black or peeled off, but after I turned to Altra, my nails were dramatically reduced. At the moment, there are no alternatives to Toleran except Altra. 20km test run in nearby mountains. No problem at all! !

This is my fourth pair of Altras, they’re supremely comfortable for long trail running because of the wide toe box. After wearing the Superior and alone Peak I find the Timp, with its extra cushioning, to be the best for me for runs exceeding about 20km. I have had to use the stone guard from my superiors to stop the insole from sliding around if it’s wet or very hot and I’m sweating a lot. Recommended.

My second pair. They do what it says on the tin. Last pair did 520kms and still going but getting a little shabby. The new pair feel a bit tighter which is nice. Worn them for a 50km and 100km this year.

Most comfortable trail shoe I've worn to date. First altra trail shoe, previously wore speedgoats. Starting to show signs of wearing through the upper at 400k, should last another 100.

These shoes feel amazing and are very light (weighed in lighter than my Lone Peak 4's),especially for the cushioning you get. Comparing to the other Altra's I use these do run a little bit smaller. A great long / ultra shoe !

Awesome shoes for those who like nylon drop. The damping is sufficient for long distances (past marathons) but still good running feeling. To be a trail shoe very comfortable even on flat surfaces.
