The updated removeable StoneGuard™ uses less material and is lighter weight. With the “burrito” style wrap-around tongue, you get a locked-in feel, which comes in handy for speedy trail runs. Lace up and take off with the Superior 5.

These altra superior 5s are absolutely brilliant, for those who love minimalist sensations without being barefoot runners, these shoes are made for you. Lightweight, flexible, super comfortable fit, perhaps a little fragile in terms of the mesh… to see over time. In any case, a very nice discovery can still be reserved for the feet strong enough to fill a minimum the large specific toe box of the brand.

The Altra Superior are now a classic. I have been using them since the 2.0 edition and they continue to be my favorites in the Altra catalog. Light, fast and sufficiently cushioned, they are perfect for less technical trails or for classic door-to-trail rides. An all-rounder shoe for short to medium distances. Recommended.

an absolutely fantastic trail shoe. light, fast but still well damped. 0 drop, and wide toe box. works well up to 20 km. for longer distances I run in olympus 4

I already own Altra torin 5 size 45 and I wanted to know how it fits superior because sometimes in the same brand there are differences between the various models. Before placing an order, I await your reply, thank you

I bought them in my usual size (42) and I find them fair. I think they are shoes that to fulfill their function (wide and with zero drop) you have to buy them half or one size larger than usual.

Would these shoes be suitable for mountain running? I’m doing a triathlon that incorporates a fell run up Hellvelyn in the Lake District, I currently have Saucony trail shoes that have served me well and have done the route a couple of times.

Hello! I bought the shoes almost a year ago and I am happy with them, I run in the mountains and mixed terrain, they are light and very comfortable for medium - short distances. On rainy days it is more complicated, the only drawback that, at least for me, I find is that on wet terrain, rock or mud, they do not have enough grip. In this case I use the "king Mt", less cushioned but safer. For the rest, the Superior, wonderful. Yes help; My height 175cm, my weight 70kg. Foot not very wide but very comfortable with the Altra design. I use a 42. I bought a 43 and it suits me perfectly.
