Olympus 4 is a running shoe that will help you cover thousands of kilometers. The construction of this model includes a flexible upper mesh that provides greater comfort in your feet and keeps them dry and fresh.
The design of the pronator shoe includes a rounded heel that manages to give the necessary support to your feet. As part of its cushioning system, it includes a layer of InnerFlex technology that drives it to achieve greater performance.
The sole of the Altra sports shoe incorporates the brand´s Mergagrip element that helps you stay stable by preventing skidding, both on wet and dry surfaces. This model includes laces on the instep for closure. The height of the drop is 33 millimeters.
The max cushion Olympus 4 design has entered warp speed into a completely new look. To go along with it, we’ve increased breathability and durability to the engineered mesh upper. An improved premium tongue offers better comfort and a more locked-in feel. The heel has been rounded to encourage a smoother step from heel to toe and works with the InnerFlex™ midsole technology for increased flexibility and performance. To top it all off, we kept the Olympus essentials like the Vibram® MegaGrip™ outsole and the GaiterTrap™

I tested the first pair of Olympus on Norwegian trails. The experiences exceeded all expectations. their adhesion and adaptation to various substrates is unbelievable. Unfortunately, I bought them when my legs were probably swollen. it turned out to be half the number too big. Here there was a drawback that it could not be eliminated with a binding. But my son was very happy because he got amazing shoes. Now I have a second pair and I would not trade for any other. Unique comfort for people with a wide foot. Shock absorption and grip when running down a rocky, wet slope is outstanding. if it could be, I would give more than 5 stars. The downside is the price, but always something for something.

This shoe is excellent! Far from being heavy we feel safe inside. Over long distances it relieves the body. She also knows how to be reactive when necessary, does not lack dynamism. The small negative point, if I had to give one, the lacing not super effective.

So well done runnerinn.com excellent fast service exactly as you would hope for. The Olympus 4 brilliant wide toe box comfortable straight out of the box, I’ve not put many miles on them yet so yet to establish how the feel of the tongue design is. Great flexibility of mid and forefoot. Looking forward to testing out the grip design in muddy hiking trails. So far I couldn’t be happier with them.

Good grip, well cushioned, with great forefoot width. Comfortable straight from the box on a 8km run even though they are a 'zero drop' shoe which is suppose to take some getting used to. Sizing comparable to Asics for length but with significant additional 'toebox' width. For those sizing up to achieve necessary width in other brands that may result in a smaller size being needed in the Olympus 4. That said, I chose the same size as my previous Asics shoes. To be very critical I am unconvinced by the shoe's tongue & think the lacing slit in it, to assist in keeping it in place, is too low. The shoes are also not cheap, hence why I ordered from RunnerInn who were £30 cheaper than anyone else. Overall delighted to recommend but would say definitely for those with wider feet.

I was a bit concerned about using RunnerInn because I heard that the delivery time was slow but I took a chance due to the fact that I could pay £108 instead of £150 on other sites. The delivery time to the UK was 3 weeks but well worth the wait! The shoes came in exactly the size I had ordered, 11.5 and they fit me perfectly! They are super comfortable, the cushioning is exceptional, the grip on the outsole is made with Vibram rubber and super grippy. The energy return is excellent and springy and it feels super stable in all trail conditions.

I came from using the Olympus 3.0 and 3.5 with great results, but these 4.0 are simply impressive. Improvements in the upper and especially in the sole, which manages to have much more grip on greasy terrain. 5 stars for these sneakers.

I've switched to the Altra brand for about 1 year now and I have to say. For me there hasn’t been another brand since then. When it comes to running. The outstanding running feeling and the toe box is just amazing. The start was a bit difficult because of the 0% blast. The first few runs gave me severe muscle soreness, but when that was over after a short time everything was great. My first altra were the Lone Peak 4. Top trail running shoes but the Olympus 4 are in a completely different league. These shoes have grip, that's amazing. I haven't seen any trail shoes before. It literally sticks to the floor and the wearing comfort is awesome as usual. Altra again and again

altra olympus 4 is the best long mountain trail shoe I have ever had. I was running in saucons, hooka, nb. I have not had such a comfortable shoe so far. zero drop, requires a few runs at the beginning to get used to a slightly different running position, but this will pay off later. I recommend

After years with the earlier versions of Altra Olympus I finally got the 4.0. I would say it is a big improvement. I can´t see anything they got wrong. I ran in very muddy and wet conditions last night, and the grip was fabulas! I actually think the grip is better than the Altra Superior 4.0. The luggs are not too high, but does it´s job. In mud other shoes are preferable, but the Olympus do a good job. Sideway grip is better than Superior! It feels light and stable. The underside is really big, and has a large surface. 5 stares without a doubt!
