Lone Peak 4.5 is a trail running shoe that will help you hike the trails you want. This model belongs to the horizontal line. In the upper area, its construction allows it to bend with greater flexibility and also provides you with greater comfort.
The closure of this sports shoe is the traditional one with laces that distributed along the instep provide an improved micro-adjustment. Inside, you will notice that its skeletal structure improves performance during pronation.
In its cushioning system, this men´s shoe includes a foam midsole that creates a comfortable feeling under your feet. The Maxtrac outsole has a multidirectional pattern that offers better grip in different conditions. The version is available in different shades.
The updated version of our original trail shoe features a trimmed down layer that offers added flexibility and comfort and a simplified lacing system for improved micro-adjustment. Like all previous versions, the Lone Peak 4.5 includes all of the Altra trail shoe must-haves like StoneGuard™, MaxTrac™, Balanced Cushioning and the FootShape™ toe box. To top off the update, the midsole foam formula has been tweaked just enough to give you a more resilient feel underfoot.

Sneakers are great! Unfortunately, there are no mountains nearby, but they keep excellent on forest trails! The main thing is that the water is removed quickly. They seemed a little softer than superior 4.

These are my 5th or 6th pair of Altra trail shoes, I obviously like them quite a bit. The only concern has always been durability - a weak point for most shoes. Now these Lone Peaks look a lot more rugged so I'm hoping they'll last longer. Trading a few grams for durability is probably a good bet. :) The fit is real good, performance is awesome. Delivery to Europe from Runnerinn was days faster than anticipated, so thanks for that.

Hello, thank you for the quick delivery that meets my expectations. I used the size guide for the shoe size and pile. (If it can help I was in 44 2/3 dear Salomon and now in 44.5 dear altra. Next comment after a good outing with sustained walking to see the behavior of the shoe but during the first fitting it is really comfortable .

2nd pair of altra. still very comfortable with a drop, at 0. I was very surprised by the grip on smooth and wet stones. perfect for trail of 40-50 km, I think that for longer and with a lot of stone a model with more sole would be desirable ... or I am very sensitive to the feet

I wanted to try the Altra brand for the first time and I was really surprised, for now they look really nice and comfortable. I followed runnerinn's advice to the letter and took 1/2 number more (the comparison with "la sportiva" was also excellent) and they fit me perfectly. Shipping in one week, but when will you get it free? at least for amounts over 100 euros you can do it!

excellent product, like all altra zero drop shoes, to get them used and / or future minimalist. I used version 4 for all my trails, runs and hikes, which have been replaced by 4.5. we see small improvements, but the shoe remains the same in essentials. for me the lone peak series is the best of altra and the ideal version to dare the "zero drop" as a compromise between all possible versions. I also own the timp2 (hike, long trail), torin plush4 (running route) and viho (gym), but the lone peaks are my favorites, a real passepartout! go there without hesitation, especially at this price! good race:-)

Really nice shoes! Uses them for UL hiking. They are light, sit well and are good to walk in. Good contact with the surface and yet protective against stones. The sole bites well, which probably feels especially on slopes.

i've been running with altra shoes for a few years now, i have quite a few pairs. every time i compare them to other shoes i encounter on the way (nike and others), i find them much better not only for comfort but mainly for their structure of zero drop ,that i believe keeps me safe from injuries as i run 100k+ weekly. my new lone peak 4.5 are no different, love them !

i used salomon before, but it seems my soles are too wide. i used the "size chart" of the website and it seems to be perfect for me. my altra fits my feet perfectly. after about a 100k i can only say positive things. it is comfortable, after a trail in sand and mud i still have all my toenails without a single blister. this is the first time i have zero drop ,shoe and despite my fear i haven't had problem with it. when i run in it i feel like i would laying on a soft bed. and if you also have a wide feet you know what i mean. and i have to say that the delivery in a pandemic crisis was extremly fast. i have no words for that.

Great shoe. Only suitable to a limited extent for very narrow feet due to the large toe box. Due to the lacing, the foot is still tight, but very flexible in the forefoot, because the scorfoot has a lot of space. If the size turns out accordingly, but somewhat smaller. A 1/2 size more would have done my coercion downhill better. Excellent grip. Those who use gaiters can attach them well.

Shipping and such very well, within 3 days. I expected them with a little more sole. They are 25 mm but you have the feeling of being glued to the ground. As if they were minimalist but without digging the stones. Very good grip up and down. They can hold you a run of a few kms although it would miss less support in the heel that it does not have.

Great fit, Great grip, these shoes are amazing, fit great and seem durable enough to withstand even drying by the campfire. :-) But I do not understand the loop at the back of the shoe, why has it been sewn to the shoe in the middle? Now there is a double loop, which is too small to fit my finger when putting the shoe on. Luckily the fix was simple, simply remove the sewing to have a nice big, loop which is actually useful.

Shoes different from all the others, for long rides on the paths they are fantastic, even if they are a bit bulky among the rocks. They invite you to run forward, which in my opinion is the most correct way. Your calves will do double duty! I took one number more than other brands (I had already taken another pair of only 1/2 larger numbers but they were short). Perfect product and delivery.
