Lone Peak 4 is a trail running shoe for women with which you will have multiple benefits. This sports shoe for hikers has a standard width and its closure is the traditional one with laces distributed along the instep.
The upper area of this shoe favors ventilation to keep your feet dry and fresh. In addition, the composition of materials contributes to making it a shoe with greater safety and durability. It has a textured toecap with sandpaper and includes drainage holes that improve water output. Its cushioning system is low impact throughout the race, it also has a compound that improves the return of energy.
One of the advantages of this version is that its TrailClaw outsole incorporates carved multi-directional lugs that improve traction, preventing you from skidding. It also includes StoneGuard technology that protects the structure of your foot to provide you better flexibility during the execution of your steps.
Altras original trail shoe got some fresh new updates to make this version better than ever! First off, the upper is not only more breathable but more durable and secure, it features a static webbing cinch strap at the midfoot, a sandpaper textured toe cap, and improved drainage holes. The outsole got a complete makeover with decoupled TrailClaw? and multi-directional, carved lugs for increased traction and reduced weight. And just in case all the new features didnt already have you stoked, the StoneGuard? is completely new and now resembles the skeletal structure of a foot for dynamic flexibility and better performance.

I like it a lot. Like a glove from the start. I have already more than 100 km with them and the safest thing is that I will repeat the model, although for the descents, I may ask for half a size more. I would like to try the winter raincoat, but my size is hardly available. I could also like the boot model.

Very comfortable shoes, I’m more than happy with the purchase. I used to get some knee discomfort after a run that I don’t get after wearing these shoes. My cadence has also improved wearing them so I think they have helped me to gain a better foot strike overall. I definitely recommend trying them.

it is my second pair of lone peak 4, after a couple of years with other trail shoes, some disastrous (in terms of ankle stability, blisters, tendon fatigue, etc). with the other lone peak I run more relaxed, with the foot comfortable thanks to the wide forefoot fit. I find it a good compromise between the zero drop idea, and an intermediate cushioning level that allows you to deal with medium and long distances. not easy at first to adapt to the need to move towards a run on the forefoot, but after a few times, things are almost spontaneous. I find they are very sturdy and with good grip (can be improved in the wet)

satisfied to date with my altra lone peak. a lot of space in the front, for the fingers. Good grip too. I had heard that altra in general was small, I usually walk between 38 and 38.5 for sports shoes, and I asked for 38.5. perfect. As for the transition to the drop, zero, they recommend that it be progressive, I came from some on cloudventure with drop, six, although in the day to day I always wear Vans and other flat footwear. I have been walking with them for several days to become little by little and I have not noticed pain or discomfort at the moment.

I love these shoes! Very comfortable but still provides good support. I feel like walking barefoot without hurting my feet. The shoe is super light and breathable. There was no need to break in. I did 160km in 4 days in them and they were absolutely fantastic for this challenge.
