Types of shovels
There are many different types of shovels given below:Digging Shovel: Also known as a spade, this is a standard shovel used for digging and moving soil, dirt, and other loose materials. It typically has a flat, rectangular blade with straight or slightly curved edges and a long handle.
Garden Shovel: Similar to a digging shovel, a garden shovel is designed specifically for gardening tasks like planting, transplanting, and soil cultivation. It may have a slightly smaller blade than a digging shovel.
Snow Shovel: A snow shovel is a specialized tool designed for removing snow from walkways, driveways, and other outdoor surfaces. It typically consists of a wide, flat, and sturdy scoop shaped blade made of metal, plastic, or other materials, attached to a handle. The handle can be straight or curved, allowing the user to lift and move snow efficiently. The main purpose of a snow shovel is to clear snow from surfaces after snowfall or during winter weather conditions. When using a snow shovel, the user pushes or lifts the blade to gather and remove snow from the desired area. Depending on the type of snow shovel, it can be used for light snow falls or heavy snow accumulation.
Scoop Shovel: A scoop shovel has a deep, rounded blade and is ideal for moving loose materials like gravel, sand, and snow. It is efficient for quick loading and unloading.
Trenching Shovel: Trenching shovels, also known as drain spades, have a narrow, pointed blade, making them suitable for digging trenches, ditches, and narrow holes.
Edging Shovel: Edging shovels have a half moon shaped blade and are used for creating clean edges around garden beds, sidewalks, and lawns.
Flat Nose Shovel: Flat nose shovels, also known as square nose shovels, have a wide, flat, square shaped blade that is useful for various general purpose digging and moving tasks.
Round Nose Shovel: Round nose shovels have a rounded blade and are commonly used in construction and landscaping for tasks like moving rocks, gravel, and heavy materials. You can buy a shovel from these brands: Edm, Fiskars, Rubi, Pro Garden, and Grouw.
