Soooo good. Although curiously, of the three models that I acquired from the brand, especially this one being all the same size, it is the largest, in my case it is wide, I would think that it was one size larger. Although I tried them and thanks to the straps, I was able to use them without any major problems. I ordered the 40. I would like this model in 39, to check if it comes wide or if this is the design.

I haven't yet tried wearing these, as had to return and re-order a bigger size at vast postal expense (£11.99!!) I should have checked beforehand. I expected the return postage for an exchange would have been free. But there is not an exchange option. I sized up by a UK half size, having ,followed the suggested measuring instructions (40 instead of usual 39) and have now re- ordered a 41. The shoes took a while to arrive. I hope the larger size are with me soon, so I can try them out. I followed the guidance to get into them and it definitely worked. They felt great and appear to be well made. I am concerned that my foot shape isn't that of the shoes, that my smaller toes will not reach their positions in the larger shoes. But this remains to be seen. It's a sizeable financial investment so FINGERS CROSSED that I will have have happy feet hitting those trails really soon!

They came 0.3 size smaller, i think people should size up if you have bigger toe like i do. I went for my usual size, all fingers go in quite well, but toe is kinda squeeeeeeeezed. Gotta break them in i guess. But other than that, they are quite grippy, nice for walking, well made. I recommend those.

Incredible. Very comfortable. I just wonder why I didn't know about this type of footwear before... I've spent my life finding the unnatural shape of the shoes we find in stores very strange and uncomfortable. I've already run and done exercises with weights, this weekend I'll do my first trail with it, I'm looking forward to it. =D

It's my first pair and I read a lot of negative reviews on the official site. The quality is indeed not ideal. So far I'm wearing them at home and getting my arch used to the new position. It's very exciting, as if you're barefoot, but skin is protected and you can jump around not fearing to hit the feet. The grip is great too. Also the new sensation that you want to grasp objects with your toes. Quite cool.

Last year, I switched to only VFF shoes, with the exception of walking with children in winter. New interesting sensations in my legs haunted me in the first month, ranging from muscle pain, which I did not even suspect, to achilopathy in both legs. Now my feet are used to it. The only drawback is that after 400 km of the raid, the holes for the laces began to tear. Apparently you have to put eyelets in the workshop.

My husband runs with 5 fingers at least 5 times a week and although the shoes weared off pretty quickly, it built up his endurance for further distances. The best pair of running shoes amongst all other excellent ones.

This is a great minimalist shoe for the trail and offers enough protection against sharp stones etc. They are a bit stiffer in fit at the beginning making it seem like you need a size up in length so it takes some time to adjust to stretch. Grip is phenomenal.

Fingers have been closed for many years since their first model they produced and I will never stop using them despite the weakness of the first models I continued to buy them and I must say that it is a way of walking so it does not exist with any other shoe they remain phenomenal even if unfortunately they need a couple of days of adaptation because they have to stop at the foot but they remain fantastic

I use this shoe for trail running, it is very comfortable, super stable and effectively protects the foot even in the most inaccessible and difficult terrain. The grip in the wet is really effective, as well as in the dry, and in general it offers the foot stability and a reactivity that cannot be reached with any other shoe. The only defect is that it does not close well near the ankle and therefore every now and then, obviously depends on the terrain, it enters some crushed stone, earth or other. However, it is a negligible detail. I recommend to take the same size as you have for the other shoes, and even if at first they seem tight, in about 2/3 hours they widen slightly. This type of footwear must fit perfectly, so better that it fits slightly tight rather than wide. Generally speaking, a really good solution for trail running with a minimalist shoe.

i am onto my third pair of the v-trail 2. it is the best barefoot running shoe in my opinion (have tried other vibram five fingers, and merrell trail glove 2) but barefoot running is hard work to get started. here are three tips to make these shoes work for you: 1) your feet. make sure your feet are ready before you buy. see if you can comfortably run in bare feet on grass or the beach for 15-30 minutes - this is a good indication. tendons and muscles need to adjust - to start with you might have quite stiff calf muscles. 2) fitting. the v-trail 2 is a snug fit. some reviews suggest ordering a size up - i did this with my first pair, but as it happened they were just slightly bigger than ideal (tough when you are shopping online). what i recommend is to get your usual size, but if the shoe is hard to put on, or is too tight, get a steel (like you use to sharpen a knife) and ream out the inside of the shoe. the fabric in the upper is very stretchy, and after 5-10 minutes will have stretched permanently. don't overdo this. you are basically accelerating the usual 'breaking in' process. 3) longevity. these shoes will last quite well on the trails. i run a lot and wear them very hard (e.g. going down hills fast), and each pair generally survives about 9 months. having ,the extra tape on the toes is a game changer for the v-trail 2, as this was always the first part of the shoe to wear out. now i find that the first part of the shoe to wear out is the sole, particularly along the outside edge of the foot, beneath the small toe. the sole is a soft rubber that is very grippy, but wears out on unyielding surfaces like pavement. so if i need to get through an urban to get to my trail i will sometimes run on the grass berms by the road, cycle to the start, run in bare feet, or run in other shoes (e.g. an old knackered pair of vibrams), or just walk - as this reduces the abrasive force on the sole.

I'm from Miri, Sarawak and I've been a Vibram user since 2009, I always had difficulty getting this shoe at local and this is my first purchase with trekkinn.com, it reach me within a month, fast delivery and original product quality. Previously my 2 Vibram Sporttrek serve me as everyday wearing include hiking, biking, workout etc, each of them last 5 years wear. This V-Trail 2.0 is the first model I try out after Sporttrek discontinue and it look great and well constructed, especially it has more protect on the toe, I do like the fast lacing system compare to previous velcro strap which provide firm tightening when some real action is needed. Previous model was amaze on the gripping, I see this new design sole would do better and I'm looking forward bringing this new shoe to a deep mountain camping next 2 week.

It took about a month to transport, but it was delivered safely without any special effort. I immediately walked around the neighborhood, but the soul is solid, so there are no gravel or steps. It's winter, so I'll try using it on a low mountain hike. By the way, I think the design and color are pretty cool.

This is my second experience. Almost 10 years ago, I had already bought in the vaucluse in France. I found this pair to be more difficult to put on. And once put on, I feel the distance between some toes a little too much. I don´t know what kind of shoe I had at the time, maybe these trails are more beefy and stiff. On the other hand, the advice to follow for the size to order is judicious and worked well in my case.

Amateur in trail. I wanted to try fivefingers ... First trail of 12.5 km: * "The threading": inevitably hassle ... but with a little time I improve ... patience ... * Comfort: very good, light , flexible, fast and super efficient lace system. * Run: My terrain is rather uneven (scrubland, path with stones). I feel the stones a lot, but that does not prevent me from continuing to run ... it takes time to get used to these sensations on the ground. The grip in the dry, on the stones, in the descents is at the top! Super hook! SO for a first, I am rather pleasantly surprised: Good. NB: I use them with 5fingers socks.

3rd pair of VFF (2 trails and 1 route). Count 2000 to 3000 km in pairs in the caillass (well, regarding the trails!). They are really "shoes" apart. Certainly, you have to learn to run again, so go soft, see very soft (1km?). But after ... what a pleasure to run, especially in the scrubland! I often compare, to runners who ask me, the sensations perceived while swimming in the sea with a swimsuit (equipped with VFF) against those perceived with a tight JEAN (equipped with trail shoes "normal") - It´s clearer ? Well, you must not have sensitive feet, or if you have them at the start, they will quickly build muscle and harden. Let's be clear, I only use these "shoes" for training / pleasure and for small nature races. I would not take them for an ultra! In any case, all lovers of the CAP should at least try a pair one day in their life as a runner.

you can wear them safely all day without problems but with socks to avoid bad smells and to wash them often. if you want to run there, and you are not used to using this type of footwear, instead, I advise you to do it gradually to avoid pain. with respect to your foot number, always buy one or two larger numbers, it depends on what you want to do. for example, when I run, I took them 2 cm (not number) larger. even if they are wide on the toes, at least I don't feel the shoe being pulled between my fingers like when I tried the 2 cm shorter ones. especially recommended for those who want to train the foot and want to make the transition from shoes to drop, 0.

I will be able to say that I am already a fan of the fivefingers, it is a fantastic shoe, with a sense of freedom in the feet, as if we were barefoot, but in a protected way. I strongly advise, when putting on at first it makes a little confusion, but then with the habit it becomes like any shoe, quick to put on. For those who never bought and come to buy, I advise you to buy the correct number, it looks like a glove, only it is on the feet :).

A bit difficult to put on, for my part, but it's a real second skin. Size: I am wearing 42 and the pair just fits me. Attention is better to take a little bigger and at worst, put on the socks. The sensations are great, I recommend to learn to re-run and put your foot down. Avoid muddy and too wet paths, you take the water immediately. In short, I do not regret the purchase. You will have to see all this over time, what it gives (solidity, sole, seams) as well as the sensations ...

The first time I try fivefingers, surprisingly nice! A little difficult to put on the first times when you were above yourself and the shoes not sewn. I am still getting used to my feet and body with the thin sole before I start running in these. But look forward to it! Lovely barefoot feeling

first steps in five fingers and I am delighted. great feeling, feeling the forest floor, that changes everything! start of the transition to minimalism then ... slowly but surely! I wanted to go gradually from a drop, "usual" of about 11-12mm, to zero, taking a pair with a drop, weaker and weaker over the months, but this technique never allowed me to naturally put my stride in midfoot. with the vibrams, the gesture came automatically. I’m not starting a 4min run, which I’ll gradually extend over the next 30 weeks. the goal is to arrive at 10km at the end of April 2020.
