It would be even better in brighter colours, especially as the intended audience is trail runners, where hivis is important. I read a lot of reviews of different jackets and ended up getting the ultimate direction ultra v2 and I must say that overall I’m very happy with it. I really like the hood, it fastens well at the back with a nice fit, a lot better than other jackets I’ve tried on as some chin guards stick out quite a way. The mitts are a nice touch if you don’t like wearing gloves as they just keep the wind off and are pretty easy to just tuck away. The waterproof and windproof qualities of the jacket are really good, although my shoulders were slightly damp after being out in heavy rain, but that could have been the breathability. I did though find the breathability of it good, I feel very comfortable with the jacket fully zipped up and hud up. You’re never going to find a jacket that’s perfectly waterproof AND perfectly breathable at this kind of price range. I went for a size up too after looking at peoples reviews, I’m a 40 inch chest and got a large and it fits well. So overall I would definitely recommend.
