Ideal for longer expeditions like ultra-trails, the SOFT FLASK 500ml/17oz XA STD 42 filters bacteria and protozoa from natural water sources, so you can drink easily and safely without needing to carrying huge volumes of water. Shrinking as you drink to limit water bounce, the flask lets you know exactly how much you have left.

What i wanted

The flask is very useful and recommended when you don't want to carry water all the time and you find a river or whatever. The service, as always, perfect.

For outings in the mountains

Excellent bottle for outings in the mountains. I use it especially for long camping trips, where I complement it with a 1.5 liter bladder. In this way, whenever there is a stream nearby, I can filter water with this bottle and fill the bladder. The design is good, and it fits in a trail running vest. Care must be taken when removing the filter and washing it as specified in the instructions. An excellent option also for mountain runners who want to go light in weight.

First filter I've ever owned - alternatives to date have seemed clunky, fiddly and time-consuming. But this is just a great all-in-one product that I now take with me on most trail runs/hikes for a bit of piece of mind. It's easy to use, well designed and the flow rate is only marginally slower than a regular flask. I recently took my filter flask on the 431 km Summer Spine Race - it allowed me to travel light and fill/filter from streams along the way. I only carried a litre of water at a time whereas some others carried three or four as they were scared to use anything but tap water!!

The product is excellent. However, since I had Salomon's Flask, I realized later that I only had to purchase the filter. It may be affected by corona, but it takes more than a month from ordering to completion of delivery
