Nike fully intends to achieve total supremacy in the hiking world during 2020, and its Nike Wildhorse 6 trail running shoes are an optimal example of this trend. With a groundbreaking. avant-garde aesthetic, these shoes represent an almost total redesign of the classic Wildhorse series, with outstanding features that will help you release the mustang on the road.
2020 will be the year in which Nike React asserts its dominance among the swoosh brand’s many cushioning systems, and the Wildhorse 6 makes use of a fully-React midsole for increased energy return and a design that, for the first time in the history of the series, discards Nike’s ubiquitous Zoom Air units in the heel area. The replacement is Cushlon Ring, a rigid horseshoe-shaped foam pad that encloses the heel for increased stability and protection of the Achilles’ tendon during running.
As far as the rubber outsole is concerned, the Wildhorse 6 features a rugged multidirectional tacking that will give you the best possible traction on any terrain and in any weather. The Metcon-borrowed Anti-Clog finish sheds away any mud buildup on the sole, while the new Rock Plate adds durability. The Wildhorse 6’s upper uses a new sock-like heel collar and an asymmetric lace closure to increase support and fluidity.
The Nike Wildhorse 6 keeps it stable, secure and lightweight on the trail. An updated outsole delivers the traction you need, while a foam midsole keeps you cushioned on your run.
Trail-Ready Traction:
- A full-rubber outsole features abrasion-resistant materials in the forefoot and heel, with sticky rubber in the middle for grip.
Responsive Cushioning:
- Nike React foam provides a soft, smooth ride that adds a little spring to your step. Extra cushioning in the heel creates stability and helps keep your foot on the platform.
Breathable and Long-lasting:
- Mesh at the forefoot enhances ventilation and combines with materials along the toe to help prevent abrasion.
More Benefits:
- Collar around the ankle hugs your foot while helping prevent dirt and debris from entering the shoe.
- Thin tongue features segmented padding to help cut down on lace pressure.
- Utility tab in the back for easy on and off.
- Woven heel helps keep your foot secure.
