The result is a product which – through specific, surgical adjustments – provides a much more comfortable and versatile running experience without losing the Pegasus series’ characteristic, explosive agility.

Having an overall greater comfort implies that the Pegasus 36 have received special attention in its upper, with a stylish, minimalist design that simplifies certain strategic zones to reduce overall weight and increase breathability where friction and heat usually affect the runner’s performance. The Engineered Mesh-built upper blends with a thinner, softer tongue and a series of perforations in the midfoot and toe to improve airflow inside the shoe, while the Flywire lacing system receives a slight adjustment to favor a greater, snug fit.

In the sole unit, the Oregonians went with an “if it is not broken, why fix it?” philosophy, maintaining the Pegasus series as a universal solution for every running profile in the market. The ubiquitous waffle pattern on the outsole remains central in the delivery of superior traction on asphalt and urban surfaces. Likewise, the Zoom Air-enabled midsole continues to offer highly-adaptable cushioning thanks to its stable Cushlon ST foam, whose reactivity and elasticity translate into a softer, lighter tread. The iconic Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 36 returns with more perforations and engineered mesh in the upper for targeted breathability across high-heat areas. A slimmer heel collar and tongue reduce bulk without compromising comfort, while exposed Flywire cables give you a snug fit at higher speeds.
