Thanks to its high performance and quality, the Pegasus series are considered by both amateur and pro runners as Nike´s flagship product. In 2020, to commemorate the legendary Japanese relay race Ekiden, the Oregonians bring us a limited edition of one of their lead products in the shape of the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 36 Hakone running shoes. This series’ explosive agility now comes in a visually appealing, groundbreaking design, inspired by the landscapes of the traditional village of Hakone, near Tokyo.
Having an overall greater comfort implies that the Pegasus 36 Hakone have received special attention in its upper, with a stylish, minimalist design that simplifies certain strategic zones in order to reduce overall weight and increase breathability where friction and heat usually affect the runner’s performance. The Engineered Mesh-built upper blends with a thinner, softer tongue and a series of perforations in the midfoot and toe to improve airflow inside the shoe, while the Flywire lacing system receives a slight adjustment to favor a greater, snug fit.
In the sole unit, the Oregonians went with an “if it is not broken, why fix it?” philosophy, maintaining the Pegasus series as a universal solution for every running profile in the market. The ubiquitous waffle pattern on the outsole remains central in the delivery of superior traction on asphalt and urban surfaces. Likewise, the Zoom Air-enabled midsole continues to offer highly-adaptable cushioning thanks to its stable Cushlon ST foam, whose reactivity and elasticity translate into a softer, lighter tread.
The iconic Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 36 returns with more perforations and mesh in the upper for targeted breathability across high-heat areas. A slimmer heel collar and tongue reduces bulk without compromising comfort, while exposed cables give you a snug fit at higher speeds.

These are the 4-th Pegasus I buy. Started with 29-th Pegasus. This model is a bit different. Has lower sides around ankles, but are still super comfortable. The feel is amazing. They fly and perfectly absorb every kick to the tarmac. Strongly recommend. I loved the store and the service as well.

Surprisingly, despite the quarantine restrictions, the goods were delivered on time! Well done! The quality is excellent at first glance. Full size. Cushioning for safe, consistent workouts. At first glance, hard but on the foot the balance of softness and elasticity. Liked the soft heel support. In general, everything is for comfort. Pleasantly surprised!

Superb looking as my daily shoe. Looking good during my runs is a bonus too. Roomy toebox with more pronounced arch support than my other Nikes. Good cushioning with bounce & pop even with low stack height. Overall very good value with quality, look & performance.
