Merrell Trail Glove 5 Shoes present us with a low profile model that offers a maximum sensation of the ground, while they provide superior grip, stability, support, breathability, control of odor, and secure and comfortable fit.

These hiking shoes are designed with a Vibram TC5+ sole, made with an ultra-resistant rubber material to abrasions, superior grip, stability, and support, also thanks to the 3 mm studs. The Merrell Barefoot 2 construction allows a clear perception of the terrain like you have the foot naked, the TPU Hyperlock heel provides great traction and safety on each step, and the TrailProtect capsule provides sole support, avoiding shocks with stones.

In the upper, they have a mesh with TPU coating that favors durability and ventilation of the foot. The M Select FRESH technology is responsible for absorbing the bad smell of the shoes, thanks also to the breathable mesh lining. These trail running shoes come with an integrated insole and normal laces closure.
Created by studying the foot in motion, this trainer is designed to enhance the foot’s natural ability to stabilize the body during rapid changes in movement.

Merrell Trail Glove 5 trail running shoes

Love these shoes!

Absolutely love these shoes! Have only worn them around the house so far but they are so comfy. When I saw them I loved the style and looked around to see if they had the same version in women's sizes, which sadly they did not so I had to order the smallest men's size (7) and I usually take an 8 in women's runners. I would say they fit well but probably could have used a half size smaller if they were available. I wish Merrell would make more of their men's styles in women's sizes. There is a black Trail Glove 5 for women but it is a completely different style and wasn't as nice looking as this men's version. Overall very happy with these shoes--the Trekkinn price was great and shipping to Canada very fast!

The shoes are spectacular, meeting my expectations. They are very comfortable and light, and great for walking or casual use. However, they are more suitable for Spring / Summer. I got the size right, choosing the size above what I normally wear.

Because of the reviews and comments on the trail glove 5 leather, I ordered a half-size smaller than my usual size. The reviews are accurate. The pair is very light and comfortable.

I agree with the earlier reviewer that these don't really seem as much of a barefoot shoe compared to earlier Trail glove (3, 4 etc) and certainly not like the Vapor glove which is a much more barefoot feel. Very comfortable for me though and I was looking for a nice business casual shoe that doesn't feel big and bulky, I'm very happy so far.

Nice shoes, but far from barefoot- it has quite a strong arch support...so if you are looking for a really barefoot pair, you sholud choose Merrel Vapor Glove...
