The extremely breathable Air-mesh uppers are mounted on a soft EVA graded platform (wider at the toe and lower at the heel) for optimum shock absorption in any condition and reduction of the ramp angle.

The integrated lacing system uses a strap sewn to an internal stretch fabric with high frequency reinforcements on the external mesh. This allows greater versatility in boot tension throughout the boot, thereby enhancing comfort levels.

- Frixion:
The La Sportiva Frixion stem arose from the desire to create outsoles with increased parametres of hold and durability. This will decline on the basis of types of use and terrain.

- Ortholite:
The Mountain Running models from SS2014 collection adopt the exclusive La Sportiva insoles by Ortholite, with 2 different thickness. Both models are available in men and women version and differs for the materials’ densities.

Furthermore, EVA injected midsoles drastically reduce the“squash” effect of the EVA over time, allowing the product to maintain the same characteristics and high performance for its entire duration. Some La Sportiva models use standard compression molded EVA midsoles for the durability and reactivity on soft ground where the need for shock absorption is reduced.
