The Fenix HL40R rechargeable headlamp is one of the most feature-rich headlamps on the market. Rotate the headlamp’s head to adjust any of the light’s six outputs between floodlight and spotlight. The battery level indicator lets you know when to recharge the built-in battery via the micro-USB port. A 600 lumen burst (1 minute before downshift) and ultra low 4 lumen with 200 hrs of runtime highlight the six lighting modes making sure you have just the right amount of light for your activity. The overlapping headband ensures a secure fit. The HL40R is rain proof, splash proof and dust proof to IP66 rating; helping your adventure continue no matter what your environment.

It seems a little heavy to use for running. However, it is very convenient for other outdoor applications because it has sufficient waterproof performance, is very bright, and the lighting range can be changed by zooming.

Perfect for running, the different lighting levels are well staged. The beam is wide for good vision on the way. Only small complaint could be a little more comfort in terms of support on the front.
