XC Racer is a trail running shoe made with an open mesh to improve ventilation and keep your feet dry and cool longer. In the front area, your fingers have more space to perform their natural movement with greater comfort, giving you greater balance, especially on climbs.
Among the qualities that you will find in the hiking shoe is that: its closure is the traditional one with the laces that have been distributed along custom patterns meeting the needs of the foot.
The cushioning system of this sneaker includes a Max LT cushioning midsole that helps reduce impact from pronation. It also includes strategically inserted rubber compounds to achieve greater traction and prevent skidding.
Altra´s brand new spikeless cross country racer is here! The Vanish XC is made to be light, fast and comfortable. The open mesh upper does not have traditional lace eyelets with allows for a variety of lacing patterns customized to your individual needs, or foot shape. The midsole is equipped with Max-LT™ cushioning for an incredible cushion-to-weight ratio and perfect response. The strategically placed rubber ´´spikes´´ on the outsole allow for extra traction just where you need it and keeps your shoe legal for non-metal spike races.

For me, simply perfect if you like mountain barefoot. The only downside is that the fabric insole that they have inside comes off. I've ended up tearing it up, period. I run without a sock

Altra Vanish XC
The best minimalist shoes I've had so far. Very low weight, great foot support. In general, do not feel them on their feet, as if you would run barefoot. Despite this, there is no discomfort from the ground. Shoes not too soft, not too hard, just perfect. I ran in various conditions, dry and wet, and the sole stuck to the ground. Shoes for gravel and cross, but they also do well in the mountains. I would recommend.

Good running shoes that despite a slightly stiff bottom can be perfectly adapted to the foot. Good on gravel paths and forest bottoms. Has no grip on mud and very wet slopes.

Extraordinary shoes, lightweight, good grip and comfortable although I would not classify them as minimalist because their midsole is rigid in sensations.
