Torin 4.5 Plush is an Altra running shoe created so that you can train daily for the comfort provided by a natural footprint. This model stands out for being aesthetically more novel and elegant than the previous one. Its tongue has been improved and simplified.
The Altra shoe for men is recommended for pronators of medium to high weight (up to 80 kilograms). Its Quantic midsole offer a feeling of well-being, after each stride, achieving reduced impact.
The weight of sports shoes is one ounce less heavy than previous versions. Its closure is the traditional one with laces distributed on the instep. The model is available in different colors

WHAT SHOES! I think this is the best pair I have ever had! The fit is perfect because it maintains the foot very well laterally and the ankle when changing trajectories. The sole is great both in terms of grip and comfort. The mesh is flexible and breathable but seems resistant. The lacing is the only point on which I still wonder: the laces are of excellent quality but the tongue is "weird" and seems to move during the effort (this may change with the kms and a better knowledge of the shoe ).

My new pair of Altra Torin 4.5 Plush looks much better than the previous version 4.0 and they run a lot better. This morning they came in, this afternoon they had already walked 30 km and that went fine. No more running shoes for me!

In Torin 4.0, I ran over 700km in one year without stress. I bought 4.5 Plus because it is lighter. I have already run 100km in 10 days, but there is no pain or stress. I think the reason for the improved fit is that the shape of the midfoot is slightly tighter. It's the best road shoe with proper lace length.

Altra Tor Plush 4.5 is a great upgrade to the Tor model. The shoes follow the shape and profile of the loose Altra line, the foot can be widened naturally. Torin Plush has a slightly lower profile than Torin, this may be to the detriment of runners with a high arch. For myself, the model is better suited for fast, fast-paced training and especially downhill running. A great lightweight spring shoe for both short and long trips, regardless of speed. I also use this on terrain and trails when the weather is dry, grip is adequate.

super running shoe, very light and hardly noticeable despite the "many" cushioning. plenty of space and freedom of movement for the toes. the zero-drop, however, should not be underestimated if you normally only run shoes with a large heel.

After months of trying different Altras and years of pain from bunions caused by dancing and ill fitting shoes NOTHING comes close to the Torin 4.5 plush. Tried escalante, paradigm and lone peak and the only one with a suitable width is a men's Torin 4.5 plush. I worried it would be too big in the heel as I have slim feet but wide where the bunions are......too wide for the paradigms, even the men's. The first time for years that I can go walking for 6 plus miles and not have any pain. The laces are improved compared to the stupidly long laces on the escalantes, also much better padding underfoot. I am not a runner, but I am a fast walker and a dancer with foot problems and achey knees - no problems and all better than before wearing them.Sizing with Altras is a nightmare, for these I went for UK 7.5 mens , up half a size from my usual street shoe of UK 7. Men's fit is a little wider and it IS really wide but it doesn't affect the rest of the toes, they just relax into the padding, no rubbing, no blisters and no corns for the first time in 18 years. Heel fit is fine. I now own 3 types of Altras and all in different sizes. There is no size consistency so order 2 pairs and try. These were accurate to the CM measuremnt on the guide. Wish they made a wet weather model too - I have the Lone Peak Mid RSM ( UK 7 mens ) which are nice & wide but not as comfortable under foot....good but not dreamy like the Torins.... & Escalante UK womens 8 but 7.5 would have been better ; lack of width and padding. Over the years I have worn Asics, Mazuno, New Balance & Saucony & this is the first time I have been pain free & with enough space in the toe box after wearing every day for a month for 2 - 3 hours of fast walking. Altra are appalling at answering email questions, just appalling!
