Torin have been my go to running shoes for years now. I highly recommend them both for those transitioning to a forefoot strike or a current forefoot striker looking for a day to day road shoe.

This model Torin 3.5 is my first pair from Altra. Very lightweight sneakers. Nowhere are they too tight. Toes get great comfort. Now I really want another Altra sneakers for cross-country running.

The Torin has been my go-to distance shoe for several years now. For me it's exactly cushioned enough for comfort, without being mushy. I can run interval sessions in them, or a long (100k +) race without any discomfort. This new version has a slightly higher cup, which feels very comfy. I haven't had any blisters or black nails yet. They have all held up very well so far. I would say they are good for at least 1,500km before the midsole gives way and even then the upper is still intact.
