Timp 2.0 is a men´s running shoe where you will find the performance you need in the hiking community. This model is recommended for light to medium weight runners.
The mountaineering shoe is designed with an outsole that seeks greater flexibility during the transition of your steps. Its structure includes flex zones to improve the adaptation of the foot in different phases of the tread. Maxtrac technology includes a multidirectional pattern that generates the right grip on any terrain.
As for its cushioning system, you will perceive your feet on a cushion that will allow you to travel miles and miles, without getting tired. The closure of the sneaker is the traditional one with the laces on the instep that help provide you with greater support of the foot. Outside, it includes 3D prints for added protection. The version is available in different color combinations.
The Timp garnered the love of the trail community as soon as it hit the dirt, and now we’ve reimagined it to make it even better. With the Timp 2, you get a serious performance-based version of this trail favorite. The new outsole is designed to encourage biomechanics and flexibility, while the tweaked fit and lacing system work together to provide a better locked-in feel. Solid long distance trainer from altra. The toebox is not as wide as I wished. Similar to the olympus 3.5. Not so heavy, not so clunky but also as narrow as a general runningshoe.

I followed the SIZE numbering table, according to my FOOT SIZE, and adding 1,5cm; and even so, they are narrow, due to the "last" of the foot. Note: I understand that for this model, it is required to add "2cm" to the foot size.

Recently moved to ALTRA, I was eager to try these Timp 2 types plus Ultra! At the level of the kidney footwear to say. Comfort is present despite the relative lightness of these shoes. To see in the long run and also the grip on wet ground. Satisfied for now!

I got the Timp 2, I say I used the 1, they fit tighter, improved the ride considerably, great trail shoe.

My 5th Altra shoe so far and currently also the tightest cut. The Timp 2 runs well, but there is less space in the shoe and toe area than in the Lonepeak 4.5, for example. Comfort is great, the sole could be a little more grippy, but that's what the Olympus 4 is for.

Awesome shoes. Great roomy toebox. Abit tighter than expected in the midfoot area but imagine they will give a little once worn in abit. Delivery was excellent aswell!

I have now bought my second pair of Timp 2, as this is my favorite trail running and hiking shoe for this year. The upper fits my narrow foot really well and has proven to be robust despite looking quite simple. I would have preferred slightly deeper and longer lasting lugs but apart from this the shoe works great for me and the fit is much better than in the Lone Peak 4.5 with might work better for wide feet.

Bought these shoes recently, tried a pair of Salamon that were narrow in width. Found these by chance, bought them because there is plenty of room for wide-footers. ran 10k, good cushioning, good grip, but too narrow in height at the toes. hope it gets better next run. feel free to buy a half size larger.

great shoes. better traction and tighter than the olympusy 3.0 and that's good. unfortunately, cushioning as in similar running shoes and this is a minus. I thought the shoes would be good for 500km. are not. however, I have sensitive feet and only olympuses provide good insulation.

overall a very good shoe , light, sturdy better cushioning than the Lone peak so comfy for those longer trail runs. The only issue I had was that my first run in them was a longish 45 Km, and the toe box did not seem as roomy as the lone peak or previous Altra shoes. I did end up with a black large toenail, which is unusual with Altra's, the shoes seem to fit a half size smaller than Lone peak or the escalante, im going to try a pair 1/2 a size bigger
So far best Altra racing shoe, for all terrain with things to improve

I've been reading the complaints about the too low toebox and yes, it may be an issue, I hope that is resolved somehow in the next version. Traction has improved compared to the previous Timp 1.5 but to be honest, not too much, so be careful on slippery and icy roads, Lone Peak has a much better traction but its cushioning, especially in the 4.5 sucks big big time. This Timp has great cushioning and will have to see how they behave with pronation (previous Timp was awesome in that aspect but now the shape of the sole changed). It feels tight on foot and more secure. And it's lighter which is great! I dare to say this is Altra's fastest shoe I tried (faster than the Escalante and Provision). Except for the toe box being too low, the not very secure traction, and the fit being just a tiny bit too tight, and maybe it will deform due to pronation (I hope it won't just had them for a day and did a quick 5 road run) they are the best Altra racing shoe. It's not your everyday walking shoe, maybe later when they might loosen up a bit. To me they are for racing, even more than for training. They had a small manufacturing defect though but not big deal, more an aesthetic thing.

I have just had it for a couple of days, but the fit is really good. The heel and mid foot are locked down and secured while there is room for the toes to splay. The shoe is pretty tight over the forefoot which I like. The rubber on the sole feels sturdy and I hope it will last a long time. It's a really good shoe so far and I can't wait to take it out on the trails! It might be a good idea to take a half size bigger than your everyday shoe.

I spent a long time studying which sneakers to buy, and I decided to buy these Timp 2.0. It was the best choice! Damping is very good, it looks like I'm gliding. You don't feel stone beaks for example. Super comfortable, the feet move freely, but not too much. No more foot pain. I hope they last, because if you continue with this performance, I will buy some of the same.
