Paradigm 4 is a running shoe for women that helps you cover hundreds of kilometers keeping your feet comfortable. As part of its 30-millimeter cushioning system, it includes the Altra Ego midsole that allow a high level of flexibility to bend the piece and generates a surprising return of energy.At the top; the version includes a mesh layer that improves the ventilation.
The closure of this sports shoe is the traditional one with laces distributed on the instep. In all the design you will find that the seams are minimal to reduce the possibilities of rubbing. At the top, it includes a mesh layer that improves ventilation on your skin.
The width of the running shoe maintains the natural movement of the toes and the incorporation of a dynamic support reduces the impacts produced during pronation. Inside, you will feel that your feet are well padded.
Originally inspired by tired feet at the end of the Badwater 135, the Altra Paradigm 4.0 is completely updated and revamped. An Altra EGO? midsole for plush cushion and ultimate energy return; a knit upper for durability, and integrated Stabilipods? for enhanced support. The same sweet GuideRail? system is still here to help steer a tired or pronating foot, and with the addition of Altra EGO? in the midsole and knit in the upper, this shoe is even more resilient, comfortable and cushioned than before.

Comfortable, good foot support for pronators. The plastic hardening of the front of the shoe is a bit disturbing at first. Looseness in the fingers. I give four stars because they are a bit too soft, but for the protection of joints it can work out for good

Comfortable and fast, definitely for running and not for walking, drawbacks: the breathing holes in the upper are way too big, so cold and even light rain could be an issue, they still offer some protection though...then the unexpected, something weird inside my left shoe caused me a blister on my insole (I guess the insole itself) after 5 KMS...so that's weird because couldn't notice any major physical change in the shoe... anyways hope that's just something won't be recurring...other than that, amazing shoe , Altra's best after the Timp and probably the Provision (which I haven't owned so far) so highly recommend if you don't plan on using them in winter or in autumn in the cold rain...even though I already have...lol

I bought these sneakers to replace Paradigm 2. With the old model they have nothing to do. Completely redesigned model. Knit upper and sole and ego foam. Very comfortable fit, size corresponds to the size grid. Depreciation is not cotton, but springy and elastic. Suitable for long runs and recovery runs.

It's as good as paradigm3 but much better and more comfortable without having to strain muscles and knees for many kilometers is heavier than other sneakers 44 2/3 weighs 330gr but when you wear it you don't feel it and you're rewarded by dampening .. in Nike and Adidas get the same number

The knit upper is soft and breathable, so it is very comfortable. Even though it has enough cushion,but it is so stable. The color of the string was black different from the photo. Suitable for full marathon and ultra marathon. I like it.

I'm an Altra fan, these were a no brainer for me. I use Olympus for trails, Escalante for flat speed work and these Paradigms for when I need to grind. Really comfy shoe, surprisingly light with a decent outsole that should last 4-500km easily.

i ran in brooks adrenaline gts for many years, which gave great support, but i always suffered from forefoot pain when running over 8 miles (i suspect metatarsalgia or mortons neuroma), so i was keen to find an alternative as this got worse. i tried some nb shoes, which weren't supportive enough for me and then after attending a running clinic to transition to forefoot running i also tried some zero drop ,newton kismet 2's, which were lovely to run in, but made the pain worse. i then came across altra and liked the design thinking behind the brand, so tried a pair of paradigm 3's and they have made running long distances virtually painless. i've just bought these paradigm 4's in grey & red with black laces. they are every bit as comfortable and a better looking design than the 3's, so i'm very pleased with my purchase. it seems that the zero drop ,design, with wide foot shaped toe box to allow the toes to spread and plenty of cushioning under the whole length of the foot is what was needed. great design altra! for reference: i'm 1.75m tall, 67kg & uk size 7.5 in the altra paradigm. i was also uk7.5 in brooks adrenaline.
