Lone Peak 4 is a trail running shoe for men that includes important features, including more space in the toe area that improves finger mobility, especially on climbs and declines. The construction of this model has a hook and loop tongue that prevents the accumulation of dirt inside.
The hiking shoe made for neutral pronators maintains the similar height between the heel and forefoot at the same distance, strengthening the calf muscles. The closure of this shoe is traditional with laces and also includes static straps that improve the support of the foot.
In the heel, this trail shoe includes mesh in the front and heel area to improve breathability. The addition of the StoneGuard element protects your legs from the most difficult roads. The outsole includes multidirectional lugs that improve balance and keep you stable. The version is available in a variety of sizes and colors.
The Lone Peak 4 is a fresh take on Altras original trail shoe with several significant updates. The new upper will include the same integrated tongue as the previous version but now with static webbing for better cinching ability, a flexible strap overlay for a roomier forefoot fit and a sandpaper textured toe cap. In addition, breathability is improved by way of draining mesh in the heel and forefoot and the decoupled nature of the TrailClaw?, as well as multi-directional, carved lugs for improves traction and reduced weight. To top off this already awesome shoe the StoneGuard? is completely updated to resemble the skeletal structure of a foot for better performance and dynamic flexibility.

I already know Altra. These running shoes are comfortable. The grip is very good, ideal for trail running or running in the forest, trails etc. They have to be adjusted.

I always have problems with running, trail and cycling shoes as I have wide feet at the front end - these Altra Lone Peak 4 fit brilliantly and I doubt if my toes will bore holes through with these!

I'm an Altra fan and love these. I also use the Olympus versions but these are perfect for shorter runs (can still do ultra distances through) with slightly bigger lugs too.

These are great shoes. Ver durable upper and lower. Over 700km in them now. No holes in the upper and and the lower has some tread life left. The mid sole is totally gone thiugh. This happened at about the 300km mark. Total compression of the midsole has reduced the comfort and performance somewhat. Everything else is holding up great.

I bought these trail shoes for my next Camino hike. The shoes are comfortable to walk in. There is plenty of room for the toes, which is often a problem in hiking shoes. There is good contact with the substrate and the sole is fixed on uneven ground.

Wore them on a 5 mile hike first time I put them on, peaked at about 2100 meters. Great shoe through mud and scree fields. Would recommend.

Comfortable and hard wearing. The fit is less snug that the Loan Peak 3.5 making them true to size. Toe box offers some good protection if you kick any rocks. Blue colour is nice.

I have to say that I only have 2 exits, but my first conclusions are wonderful at the moment. My feelings, starting from the base that I have a wide foot, are that it is a very nice shoe while you run for the width in the front, very light for its weight less than 300 gr and a more acceptable cushioning. We will wait to see if durability, but for now, recommended one hundred percent

amazing shoes. the toe box is a revelation. cant go back to wearing shoes with the traditional narrower toe box. the combination of zero drop ,and wider front end has fixed my feet. plenty of grip from the outsole even on wet rock.

I used the previous model, the 3.5, to cover the 900 km of the Camino de Santiago and have proved excellent both for comfort and durability. I tried a little this model but I can certainly say that I seem even better than the previous version. I absolutely recommend it.

Better fit, less of a rock feel

Only had 1 run in these but already prefer the fit and foot wrap from the previous model. I do however miss that rocking feel the 3.5’s had. These feel flatter with more ground feel but looking forward to running more in them

the zero drop ,is very interesting & takes little or no adjustment time. my toes are swimming in the toe box..very relaxing. technical off track walking will take some time to adjust to as i'm accustomed to rock solid hiking boots but you just float along on firetrails.

better grip than the previous versions. The roomy box, the zero drop, construction, the moderate cushioning - these characteristics make this my go-to trail running shoe for short to medium ultras. just did a 60k in them today. they did the job perfectly. combine them with a five finger sock to utilize the roominess fully.

Very nice shoes, very good comfort, extra quality! Used during a trail of 160 km, no rocks or very little, paths, a little mud, snow, freezing rain ... The shoes have never been in default. On arrival, the feet, ankles, etc. ... intact Given the distance, I would have liked to have a slightly thicker sole for even more comfort. You can go there with confidence!
