Product description Altra Lone Peak 4 Mid RSM Hiking Boots

Lone Peak 4 Mid RSM is a men´s shoe for hiking trails. Its structure includes the integrated hook and loop tongue for greater comfort, as well as static straps to improve the ability of the foot to hold.

Outdoors, the hiking shoe includes mesh overlays that improve ventilation to keep your feet dry and cool longer.

This model is more spacious in the front to achieve greater relaxation of the feet, allowing greater comfort and stability. Its cushioning system is composed of a double-layer midsole that generates flexible protection for a smooth and stable ride. This sports shoe for hikers has a standard width and its closure is the traditional one with laces distributed along the instep.
The Lone Peak 4 is a fresh take on Altras original trail shoe with several significant updates. The new upper will include the same integrated tongue as the previous version but now with static webbing for better cinching ability, a flexible strap overlay for a roomier forefoot fit and a sandpaper textured toe cap. In addition, breathability is improved by way of draining mesh in the heel and forefoot and the decoupled nature of the TrailClaw, as well as multi-directional, carved lugs for improves traction and reduced weight. To top off this already awesome shoe the StoneGuard is completely updated to resemble the skeletal structure of a foot for better performance and dynamic flexibility.

StoneGuard:
- Sandwiched between the A-Bound and EVA midsole, the StoneGuard offers flexible protection from rugged terrain by deflecting rocks into the midsole for a smooth, stable ride

Altra lone peak 4

Very good first impression. I think that they are simple enough for the city in winter and mid-season and I am happy to try them out in nature. For me it is the winter model of my Altra Superior 4, which has a thinner sole and mesh as the upper material. The Low Peak offer more grip on heels thanks to a well-encompassing padding. The ankle is not restricted by the higher lacing. I believe that with a slightly thicker sole and stiff upper material sets you avoid unwanted / excessive lateral torsion with still very good rolling. Very grippy, a little less feedback and feeling from the ground, but suitable for use as a winter shoe in the city and spring autumn hike or medium-high in summer. I took it one size smaller than my Altra Superior, where I had 5mm of space in front of the toe but sometimes had too little support on the side with the flexible mesh textile.I don't touch the front of this, the lacing up to the heel holds it that way and I expect a lot little more adjustment of the padding by 1mm or 2mm, perfect for me!

Leight weight trail shoes

Read a lot about these shoes and opted to give them a try, over my regular trail running brands. Took them on a long walk, straight from the box pretty much. I have wide feet and a high instep, so a lot of trail shoes just don't fit. I found them very grippy on different terrains. Not as padded as Hoka's on tarmac but fine off road. I could probably have gone up 1/2 a size but with some lacing adjustment, all was well. I got no hot-spots or rubs during my walk, so over-all, pretty happy.

Got these as an option to push ultralight footwear into Scottish winter. The event lining breathes brilliantly and will hopefully last a little while. The comfort and fit is good, not as much cushioning as I am used to in my Hoka’s, but these have slightly better grip. Would highly recommend them.

First of all, it seems to be robust, but light. Try it on, the softness of the sole is very comfortable. Walking is fun. Winter mountains and rain will keep your feet in the best condition in any environment. There is no regret at all.

My third lone peak, this time in RSM variant. Perfect cut for longdistance trails. Weather protection is significantly better, breathability is of course not as good as in a standard lone peak. As with all membrane shoes, durability will be limited, but rolling behavior and comfort are unique.
