Escalante Racer is a men´s running shoe designed to cover short to medium distances. Its structure provides you with the necessary comfort in each step. This model includes mesh on the upper part that guarantees the breathability of your skin.
The Altra running shoe has been specially designed for lightweight runners looking for fast transitions. You will find that its low profile generates more stable sensations. The Alter Ego midsole provide greater firmness to the shoe by reducing impacts.
Among the characteristics you find in this men´s Altra shoe is the support of the foot in the midfoot and in the heel. Its closure is the traditional one with laces distributed along the instep. This model is available only the limited edition in a variety of sizes and color combinations
The Escalante has long been a fan-favorite for road runners, and the speedy Escalante Racer is no different. The Racer is fine-tuned for speed and race-tuned for performance with the powerfully plush Altra EGO™ midsole that´s a touch firmer for added return and an increased response. The static mesh upper is lightweight, highly breathable, and incredibly comfortable. Comfortable shoe, upper thin mesh upper so definitely good for the summer! The size corresponds to the table. The tip of the ascent is, it will be interesting to see if there is an effect on stepping or the like.

A light shoe and very breathable upper. Surprisingly good lock down along the midfoot and the heel is snug. I usually wear my shoes slightly loose and was initially concerned, however the run experience with the shoe was good and definitely pushes you to pick up the pace.

Super light shoe with breathable mesh upper. Not the most comfy though but secures the foot very well. No inner seam and feels natural. Cannot go sockless for Ironman race as the mesh can be abrasive.Tongue may slip to the sides. Definitely a fast shoe, without unnecessary elements and very intuitive in the tread. Midsole might not be that accommodating for some. One of my best Altra shoes though. Natural gait avoids my ankle pain, tibial tendinitis.

Very light shoe, with a very breathable and comfortable mesh upper, it has no inner seam and fits like a sock. It has what is just and necessary to be a flying shoe, without unnecessary elements and very intuitive in the tread. Without a doubt, it is the top of the Escalante range, an excellent job the Altrans have done with this shoe!

Second pair that I take, lightweight breathable and safe upper Midsole more rigid than normal escalantas, of which I had the 1.5, while they tell me that from 2 onwards they are more rigid. Excellent, I managed to do more than 500 km with a certainly not light pace

Used to own a pair of Boston Escalante Racer 18. super love it. And this new escalante racer is no different. Awesome color. The upper mesh is super breathable. Width toe box and light weight. My all-time favourite altra running shoe. Can wear it for any type of road training. I even wear it for ultra road distances.

coming from the standard escalante. like the escalante, seems to encourage/feel better with faster turnover heel cup much more firm and rigid. Build quality seems more sturdy overall than previous. upper is very breathable and airy. grip seemed great on run after recent rain. will be keeping an eye on durability (has been an issue with past escalante and solstice) fits true to size
