Escalante 1.5 is a men´s running shoe that incorporates important features. One of the characteristics that this shoe has for neutral pronators is that it has been created especially for the anatomy of the female foot.
The upper of the sports shoe includes mesh layers that make it a fully breathable piece that keeps your feet dry and fresh for longer. At the heel, this women´s shoe has a cup that improves the grip of the foot and facilitates the transition. As for its cushioning system, it includes the EGO midsole of the brand that provides high performance.
Inside, your feet will have more space; Toe Box technology allows you to improve the position of your fingers, keeping the big toe straight and also manages to provide you with greater stability and power at every step. This hiking shoe has a standard width and its closure is the traditional one with laces distributed along the instep.
The Escalante was such a hit that its hard to imagine it getting better, but believe it or not, it did! The 1.5 version features an updated knit with 360 degree reflectivity, increased breathability, tongue stay, new color patterns and sleeker heel cup. This new upper coupled with that same powerfully plush feeling of Altra EGO under foot creates the perfect combo of high performance and comfort.

After more than 500 km, I cannot imagine better shoes for asphalt. Nice dynamics, lots of cushioning, great comfort for the fingers. You have to be careful on wet asphalt because it is slippery.

this is my 5th Altra and every time I am delighted with these sneakers. very comfortable. there is a lot of room for the fingers, it does not pull at the ankle, the cushioning is moderate, the lungs are light. size matches. I am very glad!

this is the first time i got a pair of altra shoes. the wide toe box makes me feels convenience and comfortable when running on it but still, provides plenty of hug and snug. my arch feels a bit stretch may be caused by the zero drop ,features. however, after several runs, i manage to get used to it.

It is the first pair of minimalist running shoes that I wear, I find them very comfortable. But I strongly advise you to adopt a grip (if I can say) very progressive. Indeed, the organism needs time to adapt to it, this will save you pain and injury.

Great service, and great prices, first time buyer from Runnerinn and will buy again. 2nd pair of Escalantes I have bought, previous ones were Escalante 1’s which apparently aren’t available anymore which is a shame. I am told that 1.5s are no longer being produced either so I will be buying a 2nd pair as soon as I can.

Good relationship between cushioning, lightness and response for the midsole compound. Excellent space for the fingers being adjusted the rest of the shoe. Recommended for fast training and competitions. As a negative point, the fabric is very closed for summer in Mediterranean climates. Of the best models of altra in my opinion.

I'm an escalante lover. This new version has a firmer upper body fit than the previous version. Still extremely comfortable. The sole feels like a little stiffer but bumpier. Still the best I ever tried. Good for training, races and everyday usage.
